One method of hemorrhoid treatment involves exposing the hemorrhoids to an electric current. In sclerotherapy, chemicals are injected within the hemorrhoids. The substances melt the walls of the hemorrhoids and in the process totally removing them.
Another surgical method in treating hemorrhoids is cryosurgery. This method is no longer used today because of its side effects. In this procedure, a cryo probe is first frozen at a temperature below zero and then is used in removing the hemorrhoidal tissues. Nowadays, laser is commonly used in removing external hemorrhoids.
Moreover, the most painful and effective treatment method of hemorrhoids is the surgical removal by a specialist. Those who have experienced this procedure says that the pain endures even after a successful operation and may persist even during recovery. Due to the extreme pain brought about by this procedure, it is only resorted to when all other methods have failed.
